👀...see you there?

Spent four days in Stockholm working to finalize the typesetting for the Alphabettes Soup book with Bikini Books publisher Nina Paim and designer Tereza Bettinardi. 400 pages. 55 articles. 120 typefaces. 250+ contributors. This has been the most complex and humbling project I've ever worked on and I can't wait to share it with the world in 2026.
💚 Pre-order your copy and if you want to be listed in the book as a donor, there's still time to make a donation 💚https://bikini-books.com/products/alphabettes-soup

The @alphabettes@typo.social 24-Hour Hangout on International Women's Day is always a favorite way to spend the day. But we are taking a break and hanging *in* instead.

Need an idea for how to celebrate the day?

Pre-order Alphabettes Soup: Feminist Approaches to Type, now in the final stages of proofreading and heading to the printer very soon! Support independent feminist publishing and the work of women and gender diverse individuals in type. We are so grateful to all our sponsors and donors but still came up a bit short of our financial goals. A few more pre-orders will help us get there ✨️

🎉 Behind the Headers!

@alphabettes@typo.social went live in September 2015 but was missing one thing: an official logo. Since then, we’ve featured nearly 250 headers showcasing new type and lettering.

📚 Our book, Alphabettes Soup, will include the full ten year archive of headers but we need your help to make this soup sizzle! Sponsor / donate here: https://tinyurl.com/alphabettes-soup

📣 New in 2025, Alphabettes Soup: Ten Years of Feminist Approaches to Type

📚 Next year, @alphabettes@typo.social turns 10, and we’re celebrating with a pot-luck book! It will be served up — piping hot — in September 2025, published by Bikini Books.

Dear Alphabettes: Is registering a typeface design (in addition to its name) something that should always be done?

Kudos to @marsidesino@typo.social and everyone who collaborated on this @alphabettes@typo.social post 👇
