There's something inherently badass about doing type design whilst listening to Amon Amarth.
Like yeah the music be like let's do a viking invasion, call Thor the god of Thunder and drink from a horn....whilst I'm on my pc working on my typeface just chilling lol.
Is there a fairly inexpensive printer you recommend for proofing? Please help me out of this rabbit hole I’m at a point where I’m trying to understand which type of postscript emulation is the best ahahaha

Had a great time today presenting my research at IJUP!!
Also had the opportunity to listen to very interesting presentations on several topics, now it’s just a matter of crossing the finish line.
Went to a presentation today organized by a good friend of mine that teaches at an University here in Porto.
It was a very interesting and cool introduction to touchdesigner with Zhang Qinzhe! I left the event thinking about the possibilities with type design and touchdesigner 🫠

Today has been a great day, presentation was perfect, broke gym PR’s and Muse just released a new single, life’s good!
So I have to essentially do the entire statistics of the data I gathered and also write the rest of the dissertation up until the end of may/beginning of june (in my head it’s end of may).

Research is hard man, if I went back in time I would slap myself in the face for always wanting to follow through with the most complicated, interesting and impossible ideas.
Do you have an archive for the proofs you print when you’re developing your typefaces?
I’m really happy with the fact I’m now starting the end stages of developing the first weight of my typeface, can’t wait to get started with kerning (said no one ever lol).
Also it’s cool I’m doing this, a Masters and I have a job, I may be a bit crazy.
I’m now on my second year of teaching and it still is absolutely surprising to me when kids can’t use a keyboard and mouse. And these aren’t “poor kids” or without access to technology or something like that, they literally all have iPhones lol.
