Look at Lemon hugging her little sister like a teddy bear 😂🥰

The first rose of this year opened up today, it's so pretty! The wildflowers around it also seem very happy with the rain we finally got last night. 😄

Lemon wanted to remind me that she is still the sweetest baby in this house 😁 She hadn't done this in a long time, and now it's two days in a row 😅

Last night it finally cooled down enough for me to open the window. Which meant it was time for some sisterly neighborhood surveillance 😁 (there's still a sturdy window screen between them and the neighborhood, don't worry)

This young blackbird has been stealing cat food off the porch for a few days now, one time even while Mama Lemon was sleeping three feet away. This time I was standing in the doorway. The little stinker just looked at me, went "sup?" and started munching. 😂

Lemon is not allowed on the kitchen counters but when her human is pressure washing the driveway right next to the kitchen window the laws clearly don't count. 😸

Pro tip for anyone considering putting this type of woven plastic root barrier in their garden, please don't. For the sake of literally everyone. I've been fighting this stuff for weeks now, roots have grown under it, over it, even through it. It's impossible to remove without tearing it apart, creating thousands of these thin plastic ribbons. Seriously, look at this fucking bullshit! 🤬

For whatever reason, these two goobers have a sixth sense for knowing when the basement door is opened, and they'll move at light speed to run through the door before it closes again. No idea what's so interesting down there but I'm probably not going to see them the rest of the night because they refuse to come out 😂

The latest and newest addition to the stray cat bonanza; this scared but adorable looking doofus. (He saw me through the window)

We highly suspect this to be Lemon's father, possibly older sibling. He was spotted with her mama around the time we found her. First visit to our back yard though. Stealing Tux's food while he was napping mere feet away.

Fun fact: Tux now shows up when we call him. He also follows me across open terrain (instead of hiding in the bushes) and as you can see, he still hisses at me 😂

The weather's been pretty wild these past few days. This was hailstorm number 3 or 4 I think. Lucy was intrigued 😁

Mama Lemon suddenly showed up again! She screamed at me, headbutted my legs while I was going to grab her some food, and she ate like she hadn't eaten in weeks. Then she ran off with a full belly after some noisy neighbours startled her.

It definitely seems like someone has been looking after her, her fur looked great and despite her dramatics she looked pretty well fed. Big relief 😊

Some of the sunflowers are growing nicely and some of them seem to not be doing anything at all. I wonder if it has something to do with them being in different containers? 🤔 Looks like there will be more than enough in any case 😅

I just got out of bed, put my clothes back on, filled a bucket with soapy water and mopped outside by the front door, because a stray cat pissed on the doormat and the stench penetrated all the way into the hallway, up the stairs and into the bedroom 🤢

It's past 3am by the way. So that is fan-fucking-tastic. 👍

I dug over a part of the garden that had been overgrown (ow my back) and this pretty little Ladybug showed up to inspect the freshly dug up soil. I hope it managed to evade all the birds that came to do the same because it kinda sticks out 😅
