Solved a difficult bug. When I found the cause, it made realize it could have been prevented with a functional programming mindset with immutable data structures.
I tried fixing the bug with AI, but it couldn't. It came up with many theories, but non was correct. It simply doesn't have the whole context and doesn't see the details
It's funny how Sam Altman did an 180 regarding his love-hate relationship to ads.

I think I got the winter vomiting disease. Probably infected by my 1 year old daughter, who has been to two different kindergartens and a social gathering during Wednesday and Thursday. She is relatively fine, but I have been puking half of the night and feel terrible.
Received a HP EliteBook X G1i 14" laptop at work. It's a Western Digital SN5000S disk in it with sector size 64 KB, so SQL Server cannot be installed. Funny though that my colleagues who received the same laptop model got a SK Hynix BC901 disk instead, with 4 KB sector size.
One week later, back in the gym. Caught the winter vomiting disease and lost 3 kg of body weight during this week. Feels great to be healthy again, and during this Friday evening gym session I ran 10 km on the treadmill.
Night walks at 23 and 1 o'clock this night. What don't you do to make your child fall asleep
Just solved a nasty bug. Feels great now. But wow so much time it took
I feel so productive with JJ. Such an upgrade from Git.

If GitHub only has 93% uptime, what's an acceptable level of time?
Working on solving the worst kind of bug. It doesn't happen in my dev environment, only on the server. Trying to log and nail it down.
I'm pumped up to see GOG Galaxy on Linux! https://youtu.be/zn_xijO5-K8

I tried some vibe coding using the brand new Chinese open-source model Kimi K2.6 in OpenCode. I'm both impressed and disappointed at the same time. Watch my first experience: https://youtu.be/QlwjNQkSa_8
In Visual Studio 2026, Microsoft has created a new options view. It's all good and looks pretty. But why is the old options view still there too?? Now the settings are spread out in two different places instead. Classic Microsoft move.
Spotting AI generated C# code. AI loves to write ancient C# with `out` parameters instead of returning a tuple.
