Angus, I don't know if your post is a joke or really in the teaser! Good one, though! 🤣

Rage is fruitful! I've worked with others to dig into our rage and use it to fuel our work in the world. It's energy.
One more point: I like that solarpunk is a container where many ideas flow in. The ones that have more consensus stick around. Other ideas might be jettisoned.

Yep. Patriarchy goes back millennia. Expanding my bsky reply:
Caliban & the Witch is an important read. Suppressed herstory. Pairs well with Daniel Quinn's Ishmael that explains how dominant culture became #Patriarchy.
(Read Ishmael years ago; hopefully no problematic bits!)
Ishmael is fiction that speaks truth to power.

@susankayequinn
I wrote this blog for a particular friend. And it applies to so many situations. Hope you'll take a look.
Perhaps you've heard all the buzz (news segments, magazines...) about the benefits of small talk. I take it a step further, plus apply my witchy lens.

Many of us are frustrated, though, that the "solarpunk" aesthetics (that aren't solarpunk to me) are what get the most traction out in the world, and lead to unwarranted criticisms of the movement. (Not your piece

Thank you @foundseed@spore.social for your article that began this convo. A lot of what you say as criticism to #solarpunk are things I don't hold as representing the movement (clumps of people creating now, not an organized movement). The examples you list get a lot of traction though aren't the core of solarpunk for me. I largely agree w @OliviaVespera/116545902199420291

Thank you, all, for the convo.
Hi #SolarpunkSunday! The wood poppies, blood root, and wood anemones are blooming. Trees are flowering. And we had a gathering here this weekend to grow community.
Sent my (infrequent) newsletter earlier. Did you see it?
Features a new body of work & mentions @WisConSF3@wandering.shop and other Cons.
Plus #Witch teaching, #liberation, #antifascism...

@susankayequinn I just read Forest at the Edge of Time. Very interesting! (Not sure i'd call it hopeful... see what everyone says in the book club!)

I'll be bi-locating next week. Actually, tri-locating!
Offering "Writing Hopeful Futures" workshop at WriteHive annual online con. It's prerecorded (and I love how it turned out, including guest appearances).
As it runs, I'll be taking part in the discord convo, hearing your ideas & answering questions.
AND I'll be at Readercon same weekend. 3 places at once!

@ouropinions@wandering.shop my novel includes protests based on actual ones...unfortunately even more relevant than when I wrote The Working.
See you in the streets!
