Something in the damn cigarettes is addictive besides the nicotine. Supposedly something in burning tobacco acts like a tricyclic antidepressant, so maybe that’s why the irritability spike hits you after a while..?

I don’t like my kids reading them or listening to them because the guy gives off a sort of a 2010s Redditor vibe. I do find them funny, but I want my kids to have more of a “I need to try“ not ”oh nothing works out” vibe.

For those people, I don’t care. it’s like the gay people who are in the closet— it would be better if they didn’t do the thing, but if nobody hears about it it’s far less annoying.

If I was told I could guarantee another five years of life by becoming vegetarian, I done know if I would. Vegan? No way. There are multiple healthy ways to live, and I do know vegetarians who are extremely healthy self-sufficiency ruralites that can outwork their peers.

@Tony@clew.lol Weed is addictive psychologically to some people and not others. It’s like scratching an itch you didn’t know you had or relaxing a muscle you didn’t know was tensed. I’ve noticed people with more introverted or sanguine or depressive type personalities are drawn to it. When I was dealing with some shit in my younger years, I wanted to smoke it because it made me feel better in a way I couldn’t explain. Not everyone has that draw, and it’s probably better if most people avoid it.

If you have coupons that let you buy a burger for $1 a piece but they expire at the end of the month, and the price of a burger goes up to $4, you functionally have a coupon worth $3. If you paid $0.50 for that coupon, you win out because you can sell them for a $2.50 profit. Easy peasey.
