#RepostYourArt Day 6: Bird
I've made a few avian cranial kinesis models! Most birds don't actually have a "joint" where the top beak and skull meet, but instead a flexible piece of bone. We don't usually think of bones as flexible, but they can be!
Processing past trauma through animated shows is not how I expected to be spending my middle age.
Realized I've been experiencing some rather intense Character/Identity Bleed from watching a show. I'm trying to read up on it (I find that learning about things helps me deal with them). I'm finding lots about Bleed from role-playing (games/acting) but not much about Bleed from reading/watching.
This paper talks about "experiential crossing" from reading, which seems related, although more generalized.

Is there a different term for Character/Identity Bleed from reading/watching rather than role-play? Anyone know of any other studies/writings on this?
I made some things.
This is my second time ever using a sewing machine to sew things, as opposed to my usual method; hand sewing with pliers (I am usually sewing things that a "regular" sewing machine couldn't handle).

Wondering if working on a game project for awhile would improve or deteriorate my mental health. 🤔
Mental health has been a wreck the past few days. My therapist thinks it's stuff piling up until something breaks, but it came on suddenly (from my perspective) which has usually been medication related.
Either way, trying to work on "fun" projects and not beat myself up for having a broken brain.
My brain has learned that it has to scream in order to get my attention.
(This is not a cry for help. Just something I said in conversation and thought it might be relatable.)
Updated my owl skull with eyeballs model. This is the first #SciComm model I created, and I've learned a lot since. It has asymmetric ears and removable eyeballs and sclerotic rings for teaching about the senses of owls.

Gonna mod my 3d printers. Surely that will fix my mental health.
RE: @BlueAppaloosa@sunny.garden
The answer here seems to be somewhere on the spectrum of Identifying with a Fictional Character and Parasocial Relationships with Fictional Characters.

Lots of writings on it, will have to do some reading and thinking.
