Aber hier eine Idee: Zumindest die/der Große mit 9 kann doch schon sagen, was ihr/ihm gefällt, nehme ich an? Sucht doch zusammen eine Distro aus, die „gut aussieht“ und probiert es aus. Das kann ne ganze Menge Motivation bringen, sich durch die Probleme (machen wir uns nix vor, das klappt nicht immer alles auf anhieb mit dem Pinguin) durchzuhangeln, wenn man mit ausgesucht hat.
Dieser #diday fällt flach wegen des ausschweifenden sozialen Lebens der Kinder. Sportprüfung, Theater, was man halt so alles in einen Tag packen kann 🤷♂️.

Mal im Ernst: wenn Du keine Ahnung von Linux hast, ist es Dir doch erstmal egal ob Du neue Software per apt-get holst oder irgendein Prozess das im Hintergrund kompiliert.
Nimm was einsteigerfreundliches mit nem schicken window manager und viel userbase. Und n game sollte irgendwie laufen. Ab dann kann man weitersehen.
