I note that Reform immediately pull 'Tr*mp style' tactics - simultaneously questioning the legitimacy of the vote and blaming Muslims for their loss. Sorry - normal people just don't like Reform 'cos they are crooked, a shill for big buiness and dodgy dictators and don't have any real solutions for our social problems.

@sundogplanets@mastodon.social Since this would affect the *whole world* and not just the USA, how do people elsewhere complain/campain about this kind of thing? And why does the FCC assume that kind of juristiction?

@annaecook@mastodon.social As an aside, it should be unremarkable that design is accessible, with the ramp going to the stage, I bet the team at 'Code of Silence' immediately knew that had won 'Best Drama', when they arrived at the venue, but really they should have been still guessing..

@digitalraven@retro.pizza Yes, 100% agree, should be taught in school and every workplace! Not sure where you live, but in the UK, emergency defibrillators are increasingly common in public buildings/village halls/old phone boxes/anywhere

@mhoye So what argumetns do work against such people? I can think of only two right now 1) appeal to their own self interest - what you are doing will actually make things worse for yourself / your in-group 2) show of force - either political, finiancial or actual physical

@gwynnion@mastodon.social ON this subject, Atlassian JIRA, issue tracking system much used by me in my job, has started AI sumnmaries of the issues. I spend quite a lot of time specifying work (descriptions of the issues) for people to do, why the hell would I want an AI to *badly* summarise my own writing? Why would I want to read an AI summary of someone else's specification when the actual human written words are there on the page in front of me already?
