Hey all y'all movie people! Letterboxd is up for sale and there's a serious effort for its users to buy it. "Letterboxd is a community of people who spent years writing reviews, building lists, recommending films, discovering new directors, championing overlooked movies, and keeping cinema alive through conversation. "Now it’s being sold to the highest bidder. "This is bigger than saving a website. It's about who owns creative labor, and breaking the cycle that turns a good platform into a bad one once shareholders start demanding more. "Intrinsic Entertainment Collaborative, a public benefit company, is leading a community campaign to buy the majority stake using our collaborative ownership model. Filmmakers and fans, together, owning the platform whose value they built." https://www.letterboxd4all.com/ #letterboxd #monsterdon #movies

Late again for Letterboxd Friday, but on time for post weekly monster movie watch along. The Green Knight was one of the best movies I've seen in years. My eyes had a great feast that night. Surviving the Game might be the best hunting a man for sport movie. #lastfourwatched #letterboxd #Monsterdon

Another week another confusing collection of movies. #Monsterdon #letterboxdfour #letterboxd

I love how fucking random this list already is #letterboxd

Back from Evil Dead Burn. Extremely nasty addition to the franchise, in a good way. https://boxd.it/fmCygr #Letterboxd

FYI there are now several #Monsterdon collections on #NeoDB : welcome, #Letterboxd refugees! For differentiation, mine is the one that starts with a hash. PS also added "by klu9" to its name.

Thinking about this post today #letterboxd

Hey #Monsterdon! I'm shutting down my #Letterboxd account soon and moving to #NeoDB If you'd like an archival copy of my Monsterdon movie list going back 177 films, you can clone it to your own Letterboxd account using the link below. I also have it as a CSV file. https://letterboxd.com/justcheri/list/monsterdon/

RE: https://mastodon.social/@dtgeek/116896631323701595 Ugh, I love #Letterboxd and am going to be almost as sad if I have to leave it because of an Ellison ownership as I was when I left Twitter because of Musk's ownership.

Hmm. I need to watch good movies. It's maybe too late to watch the Black Lizard (1968) I'll watch it tomorrow. I have had one friend poking me to watch it any time it comes up. https://letterboxd.com/film/black-lizard-1968/ #Monsterdon #Letterboxd

I logged The Crawling Eye (1958) on 2026-06-27, and gave it a 4.0 star rating. https://letterboxd.com/settima/film/the-crawling-eye/ (tags in link may contain spoilers and artwork may be NSFW) #film #cinemastodon #FilmDiary #Letterboxd

This hit a bit different for me in 2026 than it did in 2006. Can't imagine why. 💜🤍💚 My ★★★★ review of The Devil Wears Prada (2006) on Letterboxd: https://boxd.it/ebWkY3 #TheDevilWearsPrada #MerylStreep #AnneHathaway #Letterboxd

Tina Fey's Four Seasons is better. Letterboxd tells me The Martian is my most logged film (8 rewatches) #LastFourWatched #letterboxd #movies

Dune (1984) https://boxd.it/eaveTX #Letterboxd 🤨

Last four watched! @jasonrush@social.horrorhub.club was soooo lucky, he met Merida at Disneyland while I was in the stupid bathroom! He had never seen the movie so we watched it at the hotel 🐻 #lastfourwatched #letterboxd #movies
