Laravel Scalpel: A New Way to Detect Filesystem Intrusions in Laravel Laravel applications can be compromised in ways that traditional code and dependency scanners may not catch. Laravel Scalpel takes a different approach by looking for evidence that a deployed application has already been modified or compromised. It can detect: • Rogue PHP files and suspicious extensions • Obfuscated PHP and common backdoor patterns • Malicious .htaccess and .user.ini changes • Unexpected .env files and configuration issues • Added, modified, or deleted files using SHA-256 baselines • Changes that can be integrated into CI/CD security checks It also supports JSON, SARIF, and GitHub Actions output, making it interesting for teams that want to incorporate filesystem integrity checks into their deployment pipelines. One important limitation: Scalpel runs with the same permissions as the Laravel application, so it should be treated as a detection tool rather than a complete security or containment solution. For PHP dev work I have switched to Lerd (from Valet) on my demo laptop (along with macOS 27). I’d love to hear others thoughts if they are or were Valet users and have switched or tried Lerd. My initial thoughts are: Interesting, seems mostly seamless, fairly lightweight, love the dashboard and ease of editing php and other settings. #laravel #valet #lerd #php

hi devs, i am trying to develop a server for fediverse to use in my laravel blog (newly migrated to) but i am having issue testing and verifying it actually works in real life. anyone know any tool to use to debug it easily? for now i only managed to run "activitypub-testing" but looking for other options ideally that do not imply running my own mastodon instance and checking its logs. #php #laravel #federation #programmer #fediverse #testing #developer

I've made a new release: DuckDB driver for Laravel

Support for views Bugfixes: year default expression, parameter serialization CI tests: project setup, macOS, Windows more examples in the readme:

  • read and write Parquet files
  • copy data from MySQL/MariaDB/PostgreSQL to Parquet
  • community extensions
  • performance example
  • read public data

I redesigned the Top row algorithm to better handle DMs + Group Chats.

We basically prioritize existing chats, then mutuals and finally recently following.

Cache busting was required to handle updates to following, conversations and blocking, but it's more performant with more relevant results!

I broke it down into two separate pools of results weighted accordingly.
