I post here often, but have never introduced myself. I’m Josh, the person behind Transient Archive. I use this project as a creative outlet. The project also provides structure to develop skills I seek. Expect posts about drums, music, mixing and mastering audio, and photographs. The Board of Directors at the center announced Thursday that Marsalis will transition from his current role as artistic and administrative leader over the next two years. Marsalis is one of the most influential figures in the industry. As one of the most recognizable faces at Lincoln Center, he helped move jazz into the prestigious cultural institution. "When we established Jazz at Lincoln Center in 1987, our goal was to build an enduring jazz institution that would both entertain and educate by exposing multi-generational audiences to an often-overlooked aspect of American culture, and I am proud of the tremendous progress we've made," Marsalis said in a statement. Sorcery! by Sabu And His Percussion Ensemble, released on Columbia in 1958 Ambient Exotica wrote: Sorcery! showcases the fully fleshed out vision of New York-bred conguero and percussionist Louis “Sabu” Martinez (1930–1979) who leads a nonet on this six-track opus congastium. It is released in 1958 on Columbia Records and comprises of anything but unique compositions, or better still, developments and progressions. Each of the concoctions is comparably long by Exotica standards and eminently vivid. Despite the screaming title and the premise of a largely percussion-focused album, the intrinsic darkness that reigns over the majority of the tracks is not intimidating, not even when Oriental tonalities are injected. http://www.ambientexotica.com/exorev306_sabu_sorcery/ ttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g8KZNe8B-9w&list=RDg8KZNe8B-9w&start_radio=1 #SabuMartinez #Drums #Exotica #Jazz #Music #Congos #Oboe #Flute

Drumorama! is an album by American jazz drummer Louis Bellson featuring performances recorded in 1957 for the Verve label. Louie Bellson (born Luigi Paolino Alfredo Francesco Antonio Balassoni, July 6, 1924 – February 14, 2009), often seen in sources as Louis Bellson, although he himself preferred the spelling Louie, was an American jazz drummer. He was a composer, arranger, bandleader, and jazz educator, and is credited with pioneering the use of two bass drums. - Wikipedia https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0mgGiTmDqkQ #LouisBellson #Drums #Jazz #Music #VerveRecords
