two of the cutest guinea pigs you'll ever see, one ginger, the other black, with their front paws on a fake log, begging for food.

@mullvadnet@mastodon.online @lostgen@det.social I'm not sure why you think spamming everyone with this same standard corporate non-response is a good idea. anyway, I'm sure you would defend our right to free speech in spreading the word far and wide that paying for Mullvad ends up pays for fascists, and our right to free association by cancelling our subscriptions, such is your unwavering commitment to our freedom.

one of the "cool things" about executive dysfunction is feeling like you can't do X because you need to do Y, and then not doing Y either

one good thing about Meetings That Could Have Been Emails is that i get a lot of basic life admin done while other people are talking. Checked my electric bill, chased a delayed delivery, and booked a dentist appointment in that last one.

@revk I've often thought that the BBC would be the best custodian for a UK social media platform. Social media is after all a form of broadcasting, and the BBC has the trust of the public as a national institution in the way that the government of the day wouldn't. Either way though I'd probably sign up.

@mhoye also 1/1.6 = 0.6 (again from the golden ratio), so 1.6 and 0.6 are the multiples you need for conversion.

@SwiftOnSecurity@infosec.exchange wow, that's very cool. I would unironically buy this for my parents as it would undoubtedly help them stop using the same password for everything.

@foone@digipres.club the thing that so enamoured me is that it's not an annoying digital screen, it's just a normal pen and paper. The paper has a special pattern on it and the pen has tech inside that detects the pattern and records your writing, but in practice it is just normal writing with a normal pen and paper.

@iFixit repaired my Senheisser MB660 headphones, and my wife's PXC550s, which are near identical. Batteries failed in both units, bought some new ones, watched some videos, did some spudging and soldering, now as good as new. Also replaced the ear pads while i was at it. 8 years old and counting!!!

@jalefkowit aside from anything else, why does a fridge even have a demo mode? what else could it be demonstrating other than "being cold"?

@foone@digipres.club this Moleskine smart pen system. Honestly it's so cool. I use it to take notes in my D&D campaign, and having them all digitised is incredibly useful. https://www.moleskine.com/en-gb/shop/moleskine-smart/smart-writing-system/

@shemjm@social.vivaldi.net @quietewe@urbanists.social @junesim63@mstdn.social Completely meaningless definition. Not a single country or "group" in the world has a population >50%, they're all "global minorities".
