@ingrid@everything.happens.horse sentence submission:
“There was a saint in his high-school class, recently moved here from Salt Lake City, one Robbie Swindon, who never had a bad word to say about anyone and who always had a smile and a word of positive thinking for each (we all know the type), in addition to which he was not only good-looking, the president of his class, and liked by all the girls, and boys, too (we all know the type), but his private parts, which Randy had witnessed in the ever-popular gym period, brought out a strange sensation in Randy’s mouth which made him want to know that type, too.” from Faggots by Larry Kramer

@mewo2@friend.camp my actual assumption was that it would be about 50/50, but that those who had would feel flattered by the text telling them they probably hadn't

@swachter@toot.boston ah, love a slab roller! our studio just got one and... okay honestly it isn't very exciting, it's just that you no longer need to do the very tedious job of rolling a slab out with batons and a pin.

@neatchee@urusai.social @pirijan@c.im @rustyshelf@mastodon.social i actually disagree about it being the law. like, a shareholder might sue over it, but shareholders can sue about anything - is it good business to piss off the regulators in one of your biggest markets? you can always make an argument that whatever you do is in the best interests of the shareholders.

@eeeps@front-end.social this is fantastic, thank you for the time to write such a clear explanation of colours! (i loved oklab before, but this is a real clear explanation)
@spiralganglion@merveilles.town saw you post about gesture recognition! dunno if you looked at the way Flutter does it, it seems like their "gesture arena" approach is similar to yours

@juv3nal@phire.place only seen those two films so far, but based on those, excited to be mildly disappointed by his later stuff!

@juv3nal@phire.place utterly unsurprised by this, given the way he frames shots & the way he's interested in mixing elements and references and things which make the films feel artificial.
and great to hear about The Falls, funny how that description makes me more sickos-mode interested to watch it
(A Nought and Two Zeds first, I think)
