Hey #introduction!

I’m Avery, protogen, toaster and certified night-active tech gremlin

I work in IT (systems & infrastructure), so if something breaks there’s a good chance I’m either fixing it... or causing it

I spend way too much time tinkering in my homelab, building and breaking things for fun. Big fan of loud music (EDM, rock, metal), and when I’m not doing tech stuff, I’m probably playing Minecraft, Star Citizen, Factorio or Vintage Story.

And yes, after venting about it to several people, the person responsible finally had the balls to contact me... after nearly four days.

It doesn’t change the fact that I now have to order a new one. I hope the person keeps their promise and pays the ~€200.

Before anyone asks: yes, the load is secured (by one heroic orange strap and sheer determination).
On a completely unrelated note: anyone want to buy a 42U Rittal server rack? Honestly, I already have one, I don’t need a second one.

I have the urge to build a new server. The thing is, I already have a plan, but I’m just too lazy to execute it. ._.
And it would require me to run a USB cable (at least USB 3.2 Gen 2x1) from the basement to the upper floor lol

Hab zwei USVs bei mir aus dem Homelab abzugeben, beide waren bis Anfang des Jahres mir im Einsatz und wurden jetzt nach 4 Jahren Dienst abgelöst, daher auch ohne Akkus.

It’s always DNS…

Aktuell sind zahlreiche .de-Domains nur eingeschränkt oder gar nicht erreichbar. Ursache scheint ein DNSSEC-Problem bei der DENIC zu sein.

Vor allem Resolver mit aktiver DNSSEC-Validierung liefern derzeit teils SERVFAIL zurück.

Quellen im zweiten Post, prüfen kann ich es nicht da ich nicht auf die DENIC Status Seite komme...
