I have seen a marked decrease in the quality of unsafe drivers since smart phones. If you require extra stimulation to stay focused, as the OP posits, I say you are focusing on the phone, not driving. It is physically impossible to look at a phone and be a safe driver. Literally a fraction of a second of not seeing to road is all that it takes to cause a take or lose a life. And if you are looking at your phone, you are not looking at the road, even if for only that fraction of a second.

I hope, however, that a little self reflection might happen on these questions: What is my responsibility to others when I drive? Is my desired solution to my ADHD challenges compatible with my responsibility to others? Thank you for reading my thoughts on the issue.
