After succesfully installing `rns` and `nomadnet` on my single-board computer the other day, I experienced issues with it ceasing operation upon transmission of a message or sometimes even just connecting an RNode up. Ruling out the cable between the SBC and RNode, I figured it must be the long and old microUSB cable I was powering the setup with. Last night I made a JT-connector cable with more than thick enough wires to power the board, and the issues are gone!
Today, I set out to check how much current the board (Banana Pi M1) along with the RNode (Heltec V3) actually need, using the "peak max" measuring option on my multimeter. After transmitting some messages back and forth the max current drawn appears to be 897 mA. That's pretty doable still! (Later on, when installing some packages via `apt` and `pip`, this peak bumped to 1026 mA).
Next step will be to find a suitable power supply other than my adjustable lab one, so I can move this test setup about.
P.S.: I read some warnings against using the early 32-bit Raspberry Pis for Reticulum, as dependencies may be missing, but I experienced no such issues on the 32-bit Allwinner A20 SoC. All required dependencies have packages for the `armv7l` architecture, everything installs and runs just fine.
