@itsfoss Probably not what most people mean by “productivity apps” on Linux, but here’s what I actually use in a biotech context: PyCharm for Python programming, VS Code for everything else, Firefox for Overleaf, Zotero, pdfgrep, Teams for Linux, Unipro UGENE (FOSS) or QIAGEN CLC Genomics Workbench (non-FOSS), depending on the workflow. For HPLC analysis, I tried OpenChrome, but I usually connect via AnyDesk directly to the HPLC machine (Windows 10 :/) and use Thermo Scientific Chromeleon there on the instrument PC.
