Let’s normalize #LaborUnions in every industry! If Hollywood actors have SAG-AFTRA and NHL players have the NHLPA, why shouldn’t tech workers?
According to this updated password hacking table from #HiveSystems, my password system is firmly in the green zone. 💚

Congratulations to @OSM_Colombia@en.osm.town 🇨🇴! The Asociación de Cartografía Colaborativa de Colombia or AC3 is now the newest Local Chapter of the #OpenStreetMap Foundation as of 26 March! 🎉
Say what you want about #SpiritAirlines and their recent closure, but they apparently have never had a crash in their 33-year history according to #Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spirit_Airlines#Accidents_and_incidents
(Say what you want about @wikipedia@wikis.world but the avgeeks generally make its aviation content pretty reliable.)
Reacting with a “haha” or laughing emoji, such as in Facebook, Telegram, Discord, or Slack, could be ambiguous depending on context—you could either be laughing at the poster or laughing with the poster. 😅

Because ~25% of the world’s seafarers and shipping crew is from the #Philippines 🇵🇭 I wasn’t surprised to learn that majority of the crew of MV Hondius, the Antarctic cruise ship currently suffering an outbreak of #hantavirus with 3 deaths so far, are Filipino.
Linus Sebastian of #LinusTechTips, one of the biggest tech YouTubers, bought a private jet. And this was after he was previously on record saying that private jet travel “doesn’t seem great” and that he’s “not super keen on it”. This was also after one of his employees quit after wondering if they could ever afford a house while they were helping Linus on his third house.
In the continuing saga of @hankgreen@mas.to geeking about #Artemis2, he shares a really cool sorta timelapse of an active Earth! It’s probably the coolest image to come out of the flight. 🌍
NASA Didn't Even Know!!
#Melodysheep, one of the best YouTube channels out there, has published a gorgeous tribute to #ArtemisII! 🚀

I wanted to explore the topographic relief cartographic style that I did for Santorini, Greece, last year¹ and tried it on the Faroe Islands 🇫🇴.
One new thing is that I worked with @mapterhorn@mastodon.social terrain tiles instead of processing the raw NASADEM data.
Feedback and comments are requested! 🙏

#TuneTuesday (May 5)
This unexpected collaboration between Charlie Puth and Utada Hikaru is so good! Charlie is a great musician and him teaming up with one of the biggest and veteran J-pop artists produced this very chill English–Japanese song.

Upbeat breakup songs are a common trope in pop songs and one of these that I really enjoy is #EdSheeran’s “Overpass Graffiti”.
It seems common to hate on this guy, but I actually like him, his musical skills, and a lot of his songs.

@ianthetechie@fosstodon.org shhh! It’s a silent Sunday! Just kidding. Yeah, my family and I ate at this new Japanese burger steak restaurant named Niku Niku Oh!! Kome (肉肉大米). Not yet in OSM; will add later.

@kevin@payravi.xyz this is awesome! I wonder how the game can be adapted to @Wikidata’s much more frenetic pace of editing. 🤔

Amazing! Is this already peer-reviewed to be valid? Maybe it's time to already update the Wikipedia article on the Einstein problem.

Not surprisingly, it turns out that most of the poll respondents are either fans or not of the #FIFA #WorldCup ⚽️ with majority not interested in watching any game.
A very small number will not watch any more matches past the group stage (maybe their national team was eliminated?) while a few others seemingly skipped to the knockout stage and may even just watch the final.

@richlv@mastodon.social this search results should give you the LTT video about the jet, plus other response/reaction videos saying Linus is out of touch.
