I wanted to explore the topographic relief cartographic style that I did for Santorini, Greece, last year¹ and tried it on the Faroe Islands 🇫🇴. One new thing is that I worked with @mapterhorn@mastodon.social terrain tiles instead of processing the raw NASADEM data. Feedback and comments are requested! 🙏 ¹ https://en.osm.town/@seav/115501954665215610 #maps #cartography #Mapstodon #gischat

I’m continuing experimenting with this topographic map style and here’s one for the French Caribbean island of Saint-Barthélemy. France’s IGN provides DEM with a horizontal resolution of 1 metre so I wondered how my map workflow would look like for smaller islands. Feedback and comments are welcome! 🙏 #maps #cartography #Mapstodon #gischat #France #Caribbean

@CoMaps@floss.social July release (v2026.07.16-10) is out, and it feels great to see my name in the release notes! It does make me feel like I've got a bit ego sharing this, but, it's something I've wanted to do for a while and finally took the leap to try help with the development of an app that I use on a daily basis. https://codeberg.org/comaps/comaps/releases/tag/v2026.07.16-10 #OpenStreetMap #Mapstodon #Android #CoMaps
