@zed@mstdn.party @appassionato@mastodon.social that’s right, Germany is still burning fossil fuels. However, Wind has become the primary source of energy recently. There’s a nice animated graphic here, which shows energy production levels and sources from the last ~25 years: https://www.destatis.de/DE/Themen/Branchen-Unternehmen/Energie/Erzeugung/bar-chart-race.html I love that nuclear power plants have zero emissions and a massive energy output. Germany, however, has still not agreed upon where to put the waste. So I’m convinced it was a good thing to put an end to that.
