How is this a bad thing?

Patreon is shareholder owned. When you make payments through Patreon, 7% of your payment goes to Patreon, which ultimately goes to Patreon shareholders. </p><p>That’s not a model that suits the <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/fediverse" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>fediverse</span></a>. Here’s an alternative: use <a href="https://opencollective.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">opencollective.com/</span><span class="invisible"></span></a>. It’s a co-op, and it only charges 2%, which ultimately gets used to fund new <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/coops" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>coops</span></a>. If you're concerned about privacy use Zcash or Monero.

If the person is boosting to their audience positively, then, of course, it’s a good thing. But too often quote tweeting is used to boost snarky, out of context Tweets to a hostile audience. The “dunking” part specifically is the bad part. @grantmc @mg @paulg but what if the person getting dunked on is Elon Musk...

But input is at account. Granularity. Local could mean either afaik. Theoretically you’d index who in the instance has an RSS feed- it could already being ‘fed’ into Mastodon, at least indirectly. Then cross index. You may be asking about more than theoretical mechanics however @Chancerubbage@mastodon.social @paulcuth@mastodon.social @mastodonmigration@mastodon.online how does one "has an RSS feed"?

I certainly could do a better job of explaining that on the site. //cc @mastodonmigration @paulcuth@mastodon.social @Chancerubbage@mastodon.social @mastodonmigration@mastodon.online how does your tool learn what RSS feeds a person has?
