Went for my usual lunch walk, forgot my hat. Returned with several small beings on my person (discovered over the last hour); I hope everyone that doesn’t belong in the library is safely relocated now.
When a researcher turns a consultation about one topic into a “tell me everything about the library” discussion I like to retaliate with a complex roadmap of at least 8 steps. Today’s included 2 side-quests as well. 😅

@fskornia They’re a mix of adjuncts and regular faculty and most have been teaching for years. I did mention this in the course evaluation (briefly). I’m planning to send the blog post to the instructors and head of the program…. after I get my grade for this class 🤭😉

@obsoletemediauk “If you have 4 ears” is accurate marketing. Without a center channel to create a focal point, quadraphonic was a terrible format for your average human. I remember at AMIA a number of years ago listening to the original quad mix for Tommy and then the remaster for 7.1 surround. Pretty cool comparison.

@fskornia@glammr.us Good news is they’re also paying the tuition. I wouldn’t be spending $10K of my own money on this. I did look at Soc. Am. Archivists certification but those materials looked outdated AND you have to renew and keep paying for classes to keep certification current. 3/3
