de Brennan is in a tough spot. His client is sitting next to him, saying "Stephanie said that she heard Jeff telling Jessica that Shane saw Matthew snogging Lisa behind the service station," and he's trying to put that into legal speak. #ICACRadio
Bony empath
I'm interested in economics, politics, nature, democracy and literature. On a scale from one to reply guy, I'm definitely not a zero, but I try not to. I will not be offended if you mute me. Toots deleted after two weeks.
I just want to go on record that I reject any and all compensation. However, if someone wishes to enter an arrangement with my bank account or letter box such that I receive hundreds of thousands of dollars, that's a different matter. #ICACRadio
I have no idea what's going on, but I like Wilesmith's thoughtful manner. Matthew Blackmore is quite watchable, too. I'm not sure if it's charisma or the fact he seems to be taking this seriously. #ICACRadio
Jeremy Greenwood has a relatable moment in being unable to remember how old a colleague's children are. "Under 10?"

Added to the long list of things that really don't work on video call: ICAC testimony. #ICACRadio
"I'm not going to let Anita's evidence, or the truth, interfere with my evidence." #ICACRadio
Tax reform proposal: The Australian government currently charges a Passenger Movement Charge (PMC) of $70 per departing passenger. This means that a billionaire in a private jet with 9 mates pays about $700, while a Qantas plane full of passengers pays about $17,500.
Replace the PMC with a flat charge of $15,000 per aircraft. Full commercial planes would pay about the current amount, private jets would pay heaps more. You'd probably have some exceptions for NZ and Pacific Islands and maybe Indonesia.
The boondoggle (Inland Rail) is dead, long live the boondoggle (Snowy 2.0)! These sort of articles really should name as many of the firms and individuals involved in the initial cost benefit analysis as possible. On the cost side, $15bn turned out to be $30bn which turned out to be $45bn. And on the benefit side, 50% of the cargo was forecast to be coal right into the 2040s. #auspol
Nobody has bothered to make a Chris Minns bot because it would be too easy. Today's effort: "NSW is determined to be a common sense, fiscally responsible government that welcomes private investment."
