Visited Karuizawa and Takasaki. Spent some time taking pictures at Tokyo Station.

Last day in Tokio and Japan.
I'm flying to South Korea tomorrow, will sleep in Seoul and fly to Barcelona on Tuesday.
Today is was a slow and hot day. Visited Ebisu and Akihabara.

Very hot day in Tokyo. Walked through calm areas in the early hours, went to Ikebukuro, bought a manga book and stayed in the shade as much as possible.
Tomorrow is my last full day in Japan.

I'm afraid I'm not qualified to give you many insights on Atami. I only spent half a day there. It seems you are staying in the city rather than passing through, as I did.
Will Atami be your basecamp as you explore other areas nearby?
You're so close to Fuji, Hakone, Shizuoka, and well, the whole Tokyo area with a short train ride.

Day 24 #Japan2026
it's done. Spent one last night in Seoul (South Korea). My direct flight to Barcelona takes off tomorrow at noon.
Looking forward to be back home, after 25 days of travel I want to go back.

It's quite disappointing and, at the same time, infuriating: I want to watch a TV show, and even with Prime Video, Netflix, HBO Max, and Crunchyroll, I can't find it.
I wanted to re-watch the animated series Final Space. No joy.
Landed in Barcelona after almost 14 hours.
I'm beat. I still have 1 hour to get home.

Immigration check at Incheon Airport (Seoul, South Korea) took less than 5 minutes

Will you be purchasing the Japan Rail Pass to use unlimited bullet trains? I'd have a look into that. I always buy it and use the heck out of it.
Would make perfect sense as you'll be 7 days in Atami, which doesn't look like a town you need many days to explore. So taking the train for day trips makes sense.
