Please stop confusing Element with Matrix. Your practice is against the alternative Matrix clients such as FluffyChat, SchildiChat and Cinny, and the free software community, which is unethical, unjust and unacceptable.

@Tutanota@mastodon.social @Mastodon@mastodon.social @ecosia@mastodon.social @nextcloud@mastodon.xyz You should refer to the OS GNU/Linux, not Linux. Using the term Linux to refer to the entire OS is unethical and unjust.

@HalleAndert@social.vivaldi.net @JefferyT51@mastodon.online @Tutanota@mastodon.social @Vivaldi@social.vivaldi.net It is all explained in Vivaldi's EULA. Vivaldi is proprietary and don't allow the users to study or modify it. This takes away the users' control over their computing, but by contrast let the computing control the users. https://vivaldi.com/privacy/vivaldi-end-user-license-agreement/

@delta@chaos.social I discovered that DeepSeek has began censoring Delta Chat, as it will refuse to answer if my prompt contains the string 'Delta Chat'. However it does not censor its response if it contains 'Delta Chat'. I wonder why.

@daniel@gultsch.social @fdroidorg@floss.social It's meaningless to compare the popularity between libre IM apps. What we should fight against are WhatsApp, FB Messenger, Weixin/WeChat, QQ, LINE, etc. Libre software communities should collaborate instead of compete, and should fight together to eliminate the proprietary unethicalware and unjustware from the world.

@Tutanota@mastodon.social No matter how great your encryption mechanisms are, you are building walled garden, hence unjust and unethical. You should contribute your technologies to the standards such as OpenPGP, or at least provides an implementation that can be used separately from the Tuta mail provider.

@Tutanota@mastodon.social It is GNU/Linux, not Linux. Linux is just a kernel which cannot replace Windows. GNU/Linux is a complete free software operating system which can replace Windows. Also your practice of referring to the OS as 'Linux', leaving the contribution of the GNU project out is revisionism which is unethical and unjust, and against the free software movement and the community.

@HalleAndert@social.vivaldi.net This source code is incomplete and cannot produce a complete browser. Furthermore, this source code has a mixture of various licences, some of them are free, but others are non-free. Source availability does not equal to software freedom.

@HalleAndert@social.vivaldi.net It depends on your needs. If you want security and privacy, LibreWolf and Mullvad are for you. If you want anonymity, Tor Browser is an ideal choice. If you want freedom, you may consider rebranded versions of Firefox such as Iceweasel and GNU IceCat. If you just want usability, go for Firefox or Chromium.
