RAK

#introduction: Hey everyone, since my previous Mastodon instance is closing soon, I've made my way over here. I'm a Master's student in Computational Engineering currently finishing up my thesis with a history of working in technical support. I'm an enthusiast of #retrogaming and #retrocomputing, with a cat that I adore. I'll be enthusiastic to see your beloved pets as well!

@joyousjoyness@mastodon.social: 😻

@foyglgezang@social.tchncs.de @mdekstrand@hci.social @dan@discuss.systems @dev@discuss.systems: I'm really sick of the AGI/ASI cultists. They're full to the brim of magical thinking and absurd, contemptuous idealism.

@ljrk@todon.eu: "My name is on a cyclotomic ring."

@sundogplanets@mastodon.social: Why the fuck does this thing even exist?

@jonoleth@mastodon.social @nixCraft@mastodon.social @TheOneDoc@tech.lgbt: I also believe that article itself is written by an LLM, because the structure of the writing is that slimy corporate style that is so common among LLMs.

@anonymouspl@expressional.social @tante@tldr.nettime.org: Except that even renewable energy sources are not zero-cost. They require resources to build and maintain. Those resources being thrown away on spam generators is abhorrent.

@maybe_mbk@mastodon.social @Cregg@gamedev.lgbt @zzt@mas.to @gamingonlinux@mastodon.social: Gell-Mann amnesia effect?
