Happy #caturday from Daisy in her little ⛺️
I'm going to co-organise for the first time the Django Girls workshop in Kraków 🙌
I have been coaching since 2024, but this is my first time as an organiser. 🧡
Applications from participants and coaches are now open!
That's exciting ✨

Huge thanks to @wsvincent@fosstodon.org and @webology@mastodon.social for building such a great newsletter over the years, and for creating a space where Updates to Django can thrive ✨
Thanks as well to all the supporters, volunteers, and my teammates in the Django News team @pradhvan@toots.dgplug.org @amoateng@mastodon.social @afimaame@mastodon.social @veldakiara@mastodon.social and @valentina_hwayoung@mastodon.social for the weekly commitment 💚
And last but not least, thank you @sarahboyce@mastodon.social for starting it all and for welcoming us into "Updates to Django" 🌱
Spot me if you can

@mahryekuh Congratulations Marijke 👏 I was also very happy to recognize the name of your co-author @pyanna 💜 🚀
A few days before @djangoconeurope@fosstodon.org 🇬🇷
Can't wait to attend 🎉

@mahryekuh@hachyderm.io That's lovely! As a non-expert, I also expected the babies to be louder with their presence.
I was todays years old when I discovered that you can have a google map iframe to incorporate while you press "share" a location
I was trying to use Zed, but the venv autodetection wasn't working as it does in Pycharm. I felt spoilt having to complain about this.

@mahryekuh @pyanna Thank you both for collaborating on this PR! It's unbelievable how small the world can sometimes be. 💜
Three hours before #djangoconeurope starts 🇬🇷
I'm taking an infinite time to write this blog post, which I had to change the title at least 3 times already

@bmispelon has been so much fun to follow you during this trip. The photos were beautiful but I can imagine that the real panorama it must have been magnificent.

@mariatta Those are very interesting questions. I've always wondered why people express an interest in something, but then don't show up.
Did they forget?
Something happened in their life?
Did they overestimate the commitment or underestimate their available time?
Did they feel impostor syndrome?
Those are more questions, but I like to think that if we know the cause, we can try to find a solution.

@mahryekuh thank you so much for the recommendation 💜 my boyfriend chose a series that didn't really excite me, so now I have a very nice replacement.

@paulox @CodenameTim Oh thank you for the encouragement I still have to squeeze some more content, and then I will ✨ I hope to have your support when it's going to be published because it's very encouraging 😆
I still have to squeeze some more content, and then I will ✨ I hope to have your support when it's going to be published because it's very encouraging 😆I'm listening to Sangeeta's experience at DjangoconUS and Adam's experience with Django Unicorn in the last episode of @djangobrew@fosstodon.org .
I like listening to them because it almost seems like we're chatting over a cup of coffee, a Dalgona coffee. ☕

@CodenameTim meet always gives me some headache when it’s related with camera permissions.

@djangobrew@fosstodon.org Django was the first framework I ever learned, and I used it for my thesis. Lots of memories 💚 Like @sjbitcode@fosstodon.org I was also surprised when I discovered that not all frameworks have a built-in admin. This is my favorite feature 💚
