@nugger@poa.st @deprecated_ii@poa.st it sounds cool right up until the time you have to service or replace one, same with solar setups that are difficult to access.

@deprecated_ii@poa.st @skylar@misskey.yandere.love also, where the 150psig comes from is that for most shop air systems the model code is ASME B31.9 Building Service Piping(and not 31.1 power piping), which limits covered steam/air systems to 150psig working pressure.

@deprecated_ii@poa.st @skylar@misskey.yandere.love https://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/ handy bookmark for when you need a chart or formula calculator. not all "black pipe" is A53 welded seamless. a lot of the big box stores sell inferior grades since the main use of steel pipe in residential is fuel piping at 15psi max.

@skylar@misskey.yandere.love For a benchtop i happened to look at lowes earlier and hardwood butcherblock kitchen countertop material 25x96 inches is $250 which would cover both of those cabinets with some left over.

Quinn is the same product as Gearwrench/Duralast. Pittsburgh is the same as Craftsman/Husky/Hypertough/various amazon brands.
