@anildash@me.dm I've seen people try to use that as a criticism of markdown, when really it's just the inevitable consequence of any case of marking up something that looks like the markup language used, e.g. an HTML page about HTML elements.

1) FlexLM continue to be a shitshow
2) Quantus Lite includes Questa Starter, but the latter needs a license file despite both being free in perpetuity
3) Quantus installation instructions do not say you have to go get a license for Questa.
4) The Altera license request form does not have instructions on how to look up the accepted hardware IDs.

5) Questa pops up a dialog box that says you have to point to the license file with SALT_LICENSE_SERVER rather than LM_LICENSE_FILE. You actually have to point to it with SALT_LICENSE_FILE, which is not stated in any official instructions. I had to find this on rando 3rd party YouTube videos, such as https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6FvXga4f1A
Did I mention that these are all free-of-cost versions? At least when you install Vitis it tells you what to do.

The point is that the person scolding others for not dropping a resume off with the receptionist has been out of touch with the realities of the job market for several decades.
