Our H1 2026 Cyber Insights Report is live! Insights courtesy of our very talented Director of Threat Intel, Emilia Cebrat-Maslowski.
It's been a pleasure working with the @Nominet@mastodon.social team this year. The DNS Fund provides critical support to organizations whose mission is to improve and maintain the global DNS infrastructure...the quiet (but important) work behind the scenes.
While not our preferred path, we are temporarily implementing Negative Trust Anchors for the shortest time required while #DENIC resolves the situation on their end.
You can read more about our NTA policy here: https://quad9.net/service/negative-trust-anchors/
Quad9 is now operational in Freetown, Sierra Leone! 🇸🇱
Thanks to our partner Michcom-IX for bringing Quad9's free #DNS services to #SierraLeone and the surrounding region.
UPDATE: Issue appears to be resolved, therefore, we have removed the NTAs. We will continue to monitor.

UPDATE!
The nameserver infrastructure used by the quad9.net zone was experiencing intermittent failures. We immediately worked with our relevant technology partner to mitigate the issue.
This outage affected Quad9's website and services that use the quad9.net domain name. Services that are hosted on our anycast IP addresses, like 9.9.9.9 and 9.9.9.10, were not affected.
We appreciate your patience while we addressed the underlying issue. 🫶
Reminder to our users who subscribe to our status page. We migrated to a new platform today, and you will need to re-subscribe if you wish to continue receiving notifications.

We have identified the issue and are in the process of applying remedial measures. We will continue to monitor the situation.
