PyOhio 2026 is scheduled for July 25-26 in Cleveland, OH.
Last but certainly not least, we need to thank each of our Organizers for #PyOhio 2026. These tireless folks have been working all year to ensure everyone who attended had a great experience. Maybe you met some of these lovely humans during the conference.
Thank you each for your hard work!
🧵
Thank you again for all those who attended #PyOhio 2026. We'll miss you, but we look forward to seeing you next year, if not sooner!
If you couldn't attend this year, please join us next year! We'll be working as hard as we can to make sure it's a great event for everyone.
As always, follow us here or on Discord for updates and progress on the next event!
See you next year! 👋
Of course, at the event, we're all pretty busy, and we'd never be able to keep up with everything if it weren't for all of our on-site volunteers . These fine people went the extra mile to help our speakers, attendees, and videographer so that everything could run smoothly. Thank you! You should be proud of yourselves. 🎉
We can't forget to thank our speakers for #PyOhio 2026. Without our speakers, who worked hard to craft and present their talks, we wouldn't have much of a program. Thank you to our keynote speakers, and to each of you who took the time to apply to our CFP and give your talks this year!
Our Community Partner for 2026 (as well as for the last several years) was the Black Python Devs organization (@blackpythondevs@fosstodon.org). Thank you so much for your continued support!
Since #PyOhio 2026 wrapped up, the organizers have been spending time reflecting on the event, but several of our attendees have shared some reflections of their own, and we wanted to share some of those (in no particular order)!
We're proud to welcome @sixfeetup@sixfeetup.social as a Bronze Sponsor for #PyOhio 2026!
Thank you for supporting us and helping us keep PyOhio open to the community.
If you'd like to become a sponsor for PyOhio, please review our Sponsorship Prospectus at https://www.pyohio.org/2026/files/PyOhio-2026-Sponsorship-Prospectus.pdf and reach out to us at sponsorship@pyohio.org!

Boosts are appreciated, and thank you for your support!
We work hard organizing #PyOhio, but we wouldn't have much to talk about without our speakers! Come share your ideas with us: https://pretalx.com/pyohio-2026/cfp
If the 30 minute time block seems intimidating, or you've never spoken at a conference before, consider joining our Discord - there's a 2026 #CFP channel to help provide support and guidance through the submission process! Get your invite! https://pyohio.org/discord
It's getting close now! You have just over one week left to finish up and submit your talk proposals for #PyOhio 2026! Remember:
- Slides don't need to be done already!
- You can submit up to three talks!
- You can submit a talk even if you volunteered as a reviewer!
- You don't have to have prior experience!
So really, what reason is there NOT to submit a proposal?

We've been asking for your support in the #PyOhiothon #fundraiser, but some people might wonder why we need help with funding. It's only fair to let you know some of the costs facing #PyOhio and how we use the donations. So let's break it down.
TL;DR - running even a small conference is REALLY expensive.
Help us out by donating and spreading the word!
