I want to show you how Israeli companies are pretending to be American to escape the shame of the Israel brand.
IsraelGives is trying to pretend to be a different company called GivingTech, and they even told our partner that they were a separate US company! They are not, receipts attached.
Microsoft just cleaned house in Microsoft Israel. They fired the GM, as well as several other managers.
Why? The initial Guardian article explains it: Microsoft believed MS Israel employees lied to Microsoft out of loyalty to their military. Which tracks.

Of course, it's not just that - IsraelGives is an evil organization. Here they are raising money for Israeli soldiers committing a genocide.

Once we started probing, the commonalities were everywhere. Both organizations have the same CEO, working concurrently for both companies for the last 4 years.

Dig deeper into the tech, and the IsraelGives website loads called givingtech.css (I thought they were a separate company!), which has an identical hash to the GivingTech one.

@tao@mathstodon.xyz I'm sympathetic, but I'm surprised that you haven't called a spade a spade here. The administration is cracking down on universities where students spoke out about Palestine, and you didn't say the word Palestine once. You're playing their game. Disappointing.

On LinkedIn, the company is listed as headquartered in Tel Aviv.
You can also see that IsraelGives and DAFtech (a product whose page linked to GivingTech) use the same logo, and that logo was also the favicon in the screenshots above.

Also struggling to use hashtags in the iOS app - it doesn't seem to be possible to follow them here afaict. Any ideas?
