Another work in progress! Trying to move from using acrylic markers to actual paint. Had to redo this 3 times, but now it's starting to click for me I think. This is for an illustrated book on local and international legends, spirits, monsters and masks. #Illustration #acrylic #acrylicInk #TraditionalMedia #Horror #Folklore #Legends #ItalianIllustration #Mastoart

It's summer time! And so here's some summer time sketches! I quite like how the rocks and the water turned out, I need to do better with the vegetation in the background. #Illustration #Drawing #SketchBook #TraditionalMedia #AcrylicMarker #Acrylic #NatureSketching #NatureSketchers #Nature #SummerTime #swimming

New collage-drawing portrait thingy!
Not sure how to call this technique, which involves first drawing/painting on paper, then making a "relief" collage with it. Anyway, I really love and need to make more of these!

@betabug@mastodon.sdf.org Thanks! What I don't like about the background is that there was a really beautiful light... which I wasn't able to capture. But I'll keep trying!

@harriorrihar So beautiful! To be honest, some machine-assisted tweening on handdrawn animation would be pretty great. Apart from that well... I think there's not much to say that hasn't been said.

@harriorrihar oh yes, I can tell that, would be a lot of work to do those lights in 2D hand-drawn animation. (although I guess it's doable). I was more referring to your comment on AI. This said, I have to say that if the lights wouldn't have given you away, this could totally pass as traditional 2D animation! Personally I'm a big fan of 3D animation with a 2D look. It's where 3D shines IMHO and where Blender really seems to have an edge as of lately.

@CrisColor thank you so much for your wonderful comment! Funnily behind me I had a concrete platform with a large gazebo, under which lots of people where sitting and chatting at tables.
