Es ist mir das erste Mal gelungen, einem Scammer ein Rezept für Haferflockenplätzchen zu entlocken. War zwar wohl doch keine KI, aber immerhin :)
Und ich habe Ratschläge gegen Scams bekommen. Allerdings wurde ich auch im Laufe des Gesprächs von "Du" auf "Sie" gedowngraded.
Google hat in Android mal wieder Icons umgestaltet. Also die Dinger die man verwendet um Apps wiederzufinden. Die als visuelle Anker in mit Icons überfüllten Homescreens funktionieren. Total toll wenn die random ihr Aussehen komplett umkrempeln. Bah.
Ich habe den heutigen DID/DUT genutzt um sechs meiner alten Repositories von github nach Codeberg umzuziehen. Ich habe die Gelegenheit genutzt um den master-branch zu "main" umzubenennen, das hat das etwas lästiger gemacht, ansonsten aber problemlos.
Gleichzeitig habe ich die Mitgliedschaft in dem Codeberg e.V. beantragt. :)
We end the #lgm26 on quite a high note: there is a solid local team for the @lgm@post.lurk.org 2027 in #linz, #austria. There even is a hint of organizer/venue for 2028. A lot of structure that was lost over the pandemic, leaving @graphicore@post.lurk.org with a lot of holes to plug, seems to get reconstituted.
This is exiting!
Thanks to @graphicore@post.lurk.org for a fantastic lgm. Hosting two lgm sequentially is a huge task, and it might actually have saved the event. Thanks a ton.

Yosh (based in the US) has been maintainer of gimp for quite a while before the role moved to sven and mitch. That was way in the 2000's afair, I've met Yosh at several LGMs.
While I consider it wrong to label gimp as US based it is true that its origins were in the US and a lot of important contributions do originate there and shape Gimp to this very day.
It is a shame that this seems relevant.

I have slightly widened the hole for the magnet, but it still is a tight fit, at least with the tolerances of my printer.

Basically it is an adaptation of the #lgm26 design as pcb artwork. There are semitransparent areas (bare fr4) where auto-changing rgb leds shine through from the back, reinterpreting the dynamic pattern from the lgm website in the color space.
Since the cheap auto fading leds have manufacturing differences, the colors drift apart over time. There is no microcontroller or programming involved.

This morning there was an interesting presentation at #lgm about using new typographic ligatures to make written language more gender-neutral. Great ideas with graphically interesting solutions. Thanks to the "Bye Bye Binary"-collective.

Bah! Ich will in ein vergleichsweise einfaches Programm drei Zeilen Debug-Output einbauen. Das Compilieren schlägt fehl, weil eine Abhängigkeit davon gefühlt 25000 git submodule hat, mit Python-venvs rumhampelt so dass systemweit installierte Module nicht mehr gefunden werden und das alles ein undurchdringlicher Ranz ist.

@tschundler@leds.social I have strips with densely packed side emitting LEDs within a straw hat and i have to drive them hard for a good effect. They are getting warm and also touch skin, and this is problematic. I might need to somehow embed e. g. aluminium strips for heat diversion.
