@larsmb@mastodon.online I must admit I'm impressed at how steadfast it is in never admitting to being wrong. The unearned confidence of a mediocre white man who's never been told "no".

@sofiav How unsurprising. Interesting but unsurprising, anti-trans sentiment has long had tight ties to the Nazis.

@rysiek@mstdn.social Expect many an "acceptable losses", "computer error", and "collateral damage" excuse once the first few extrajudicial killings occur.

@ShadowJonathan@tech.lgbt At least it's just toner.

@robotspacer@xoxo.zone Oh good, guess it can join the annoying notification about notifications.

@eff@mastodon.social I'm totally sure these neo-puritans won't be found with the ability to see and save porn on their own machines.

@sue@glasgow.social Feel like a lot of what's driving it is a direct connection to the past, whatever rosy retrospective they have on what the internet was during their formative years. There's no reclaiming the internet by performing the digital equivalent of historical re-enactment, it's like our own little trad movement and probably suffers from the same issues of it being mostly for the affluent and unworkable beyond a concept. Build something better, leave something that adapts and isn't a time capsule.

@Brandi_Buchman@mstdn.social Sounds reasonable to me, some may want to go and tell you how you're using "fascist" wrong or even telling you what the real meaning of "fascist" is but I think we both know who is what and don't need the words of appeasers because your wording isn't accurate enough and "waters down the meaning".

@adam_harvey Feels like this is an outgrowth of the "unalive" thing seen on Tiktok where creative wording can get around an algorithm made to detect it. Don't care for the quality of these images either.

@davep@infosec.exchange Many people are paid handsomely to believe in something even if they don't understand it. Sometimes their payment are dependant on not understanding it.

@sundogplanets@mastodon.social These satellites are going to close us off from outer space, if they don't get us a Kessler event they'll blot out the sky with their noise.

@wiredfire@mstdn.social @ernie@writing.exchange How do you go about moving IA to a more federated or at least less centralised system? Figure the data for all of the archives must be into the high end of the petabyte range at this point.
