Starting about a week ago I noticed my instance crashing due to some uncaught websocket exceptions like "Invalid WebSocket frame: RSV1 must be clear"

Turns out the Applebot crawler has been attempting to connect to the streaming endpoint of my instance, repeatedly, sometimes multiple times within the same minute.

So if you have something similar going on, you might wanna block that from accessing the streaming endpoint / your instance entirely.

They at least nicely identify themselves as "Applebot" in the user-agent so its not too hard.

Derg Social is currently testing a new CDN provider (since about 24h), please let me know if you notice any performance difference or encounter any issues.

This week I learned that I can create sd card images for Raspberry Pi's using a nix flake / deploy future changes via SSH.

That will make my life much easier managing multiple of them. Especially when its not only me managing them.
