Gerade das erste Mal mit der Volksbanken/Raiffeisenbanken Banking App mit dem Telefon an der Kasse bezahlt. Ganz ohne Apple Pay und MasterCard, aber gleicher Komfort mit Doppelklick auf der Taste. Vielen Dank an die EU, das sie das ermöglicht haben indem sie Apple dazu gezwungen haben ❤️ So wird das was mit Zahlungen ohne US Konzerne dazwischen.

@hbons@mastodon.social I definitely have the need for simple spreadsheets in the classic table look from time to time. But I could definitely make everything work with basic arithmetic plus 5-10 functions (like sum and average) and 2-3 chart types. I definitely do not need the thousands of functions in Excel or LibreOffice.

@sparsick@mastodon.social @danielzenzes@chaos.social @stdevel@chaos.social Bin nicht so sicher… im Prinzip hat der Erfinder von Ruby jetzt reinregiert und gesagt „Das den Maintainern ihr Projekt weggenommen wurde ist okay“. Die Maintainer haben dann gesagt „Behaltet es halt…“ und arbeiten nun an ihren Folgeprojekten. Aber an den essenziellen Projekten rubygems.org, gem und bundler arbeitet nun niemand mehr von den Leuten die das seit > 10 Jahren maintainen. Jedes gem install macht mich unruhig.

Aber das Gem Ökosystem wird sich vermutlich schon spalten in rubygems.org/gem/bundler auf der einen, und gem.coop/rv auf der anderen Seite. Beim Framework: Das Rails Core Team steht geschlossen hinter DHH, und Rails ist nun mal das Framework mit dem > 95% der Menschen die Ruby machen ihr Geld verdienen 😔 Auf der positiven Seite bekommt https://hanamirb.org aktuell sehr viel Aufwind.

Sehr gute Zusammenfassung zu Hyprland, Omarchy und Ruby Gems (nur mit einem Versprecher: Du sagtest Bandcamp statt Basecamp 😅 Bandcamp ist ein toller Ort um Musik zu kaufen und hat nichts mit DHH zu tun). I feel like IRC has all the features we would need, but the clients (especially on macOS and iOS, which a lot of the colleagues/friends use) are really not great 🥲

Ich mache zwar auf Desktop und Server nur Linux, aber habe bislang nie Berührung mit RedHat und SuSE gehabt. Und das merke ich immer mal wieder in euren Folgen 😃

@hukl@chaos.social Die virtuelle Karte hat eine eigene Nummer, und du kannst sie löschen und neu anlegen. Das ist also ähnlich wie bei Apple. Aber du hast den Vorteil, das du nicht jede Zahlung mit Mastercard teilst, was für mich ein enormer Privacy Gewinn ist.
