I used vi for 15 years. Switched to Emacs. And just this past year I realized my #vim muscle memory is completely gone — and I don't miss it.

New post: I've been using @readeck@mastodon.online as my read-it-later app and it's turned into a lot more than that — collections, ePUB exports to my Kobo, and a little iOS Shortcut workflow I built around the API to keep my reading list from becoming a graveyard.

Moved my RSS/read-later stack from NAS to @Pikapods@mastodon.social $5/month, zero maintenance, finally fast again.

The kicker: no CLI access. For me, that's a feature, not a bug.

In the last couple of days our Samsung Smart TV has been excruciatingly slow when switching streaming apps or just getting out of an app. Doing web searches says that this is a big and common problem. This TV worked great three months ago. It’s about 4 yrs old.

After getting rid of a lot of apps, I’m currently playing around with DNS settings to block tracking and ads #enshitification
