@nixCraft@mastodon.social our not so smart sysadmin who was inexplicably hired with zero skills did this once on one of our larger servers. I’m sure he had no expression of fear as he had no clue what he was doing. But doing a rm * on root or other system directory should be blocked anyway.

@nixCraft@mastodon.social this has nothing to do with MSFT but was about CentOS 8 (Linux!) costing them lots of issues as they suddenly pulled the plug on their LTS. Driven by corporate greed. So not all Linux is good.
