During the proof-reading my proposal for monitoring a bunch of websites, I needed several times to replace the word POP3, which is the Post Office Protocol version 3 your mail client spoke in the late 2000's, with POP, which is a Point Of Presence in networking speak.
Brain memory, muscle memory and not looking at what I type...
Cub scouts from 1st Alcheringa, 1st Caringbah and 2nd Caringbah went for a hike from Waterfall Station to Kangaroo Creek Falls.
Because of the rain in the last couple of days the waterfall was in full swing. And we lured a yabbie with duck bones!
That is what about 320 Cub scouts and leaders looks like, on their visit to Cockatoo island for their yearly Cub Day Out. #Cubscouts #cubdayout2026
Workday, software from a company with a 2.5 billion revenue, cannot produce a workflow where the payslip gets emailed to the employee.
In the last year I've more intensively used the Scouts NSW "ScoutHub" member management system, backed by Revolutionise.com.au.
There is a lot of things missing which would make the life of every leader in Scouts NSW happier, and in the last two weeks I've dived into Greasemonkey/Tampermonkey again to regain these features.
If you look at https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts?q=scouthub, you will see four scripts now:
- Two to add the age in years and months of the members to the overviews, instead of only years.
- One to also show the members who did not yet respond to an event invitation (long story, serious lack of functionality in the product, everybody is complaining about it)
- One to remove cruft from events pages when you print them.
The revolutionise backend generates none of the HTML elements with an id attribute, so I'm afraid I will be back in the future counting elements.............

Silly OWA is caching these addresses for me, so I cannot send emails to my group leader or colleagues as it will prefer these over the actual valid ones.
I have already asked it to remove the suggested contacts, so I'm afraid it's part of something else.
When looking with the developer console, I see that the HTTP response payload contains this address, so it's not a local issue.
So frustrating....
You would think that both Cisco and ThousandEyes would have their finger on this issue:
I think I can live with this feature on the servers I run.
