btw. the cover is drawn by @JuliaDamm@socel.net you should follow her, so I can finally convince her, to also post on #mastodon #BandcampFriday

Hey music friends, today is #BandcampFriday, so if you want to support some artists, this is your chance. When you buy music on bandcamp today, the money goes directly to the artists. Our little IndiePunk band is there too, and we still have some copies of our limited EP on vinyl. Just saying 😅 https://diaabend.bandcamp.com/album/alles-leuchtet

@petrillic@hachyderm.io Reminds me of the early 2000s in Germany. Where nearly every job offer in IT was: We want young developers, with years of experience and a university degree.

@matthiasott@mastodon.social I have some stats and the max was an increase of "visits" by about 1000%, when those crawlers hit.

@matthiasott@mastodon.social I have this once or twice a week and now started geo blocking, currently Singapore. There were even some bots saying "sorry we are beta and break things, block us if you want" in their user agent string... So I blocked some user agents too. But most of the requests look like normal desktop browsers, so i needed geo blocking. The requests came so rapidly I couldn't use the Kirby panel anymore even though I already had caching enabled.

@paulcuth Oh, that's cool! Thank you :)

@thunfisch@chaos.social oh man, I had two self-hosted instances running and nearly every update ended in massive problems. That was some years ago. Eventually we switched and I shut it off. Recently I thought switching back because of the stuff happening at GitHub… well…
