@emacsomancer@types.pl Let’s just say that hypothetically, my work’s HR department excitedly launched an “agent” for managers to use to generate performance reviews. Hypothetically, if I created a document called “Report” with a dozen pages of filler, followed by white text on a white background describing Chris Masto’s incredible performance and promotion-worthiness, hypothetically said agent was found to use it as its primary source of truth.

I had a package delivered today that I couldn't find. I went looking for it on the security camera, it literally blew away.

@davidgerard@circumstances.run The thing that kills me is it’s unreasonable to expect the author to read every line of their paper. Obvious conclusion is obvious, *nobody* is expected to read it. The world has gone mad, generating for generating’s sake. At least the viral slop bots on social media are trying to scam an audience. In the corporate world it’s only about output volume, shipping terawatts of bullshit nobody will ever look at to make fake productivity numbers go up.

Fixing that seems like it would be a better way to ensure people come in through the front door.
