There was a Japanese maple tree at the back left corner of the house we moved into in 2006, the first house we lived in after we moved to Canada. The leaves are so beautiful in the summer when there is a breeze, especially when the sunlight passes through them and shines through from the underside.

Air pollution is always a problem in Delhi, people who deal with asthma should be well prepared.
Noise pollution will be a constant issue across Indian cities. The turn signals are not used there, drivers rely on the car horn as a mode of communication. I get headaches there always on the first night, ear plugs and headache medications help. Noise cancelling headphones too.

Public transport is not safe for visiting women to use alone. Always try to travel with another woman who is familiar with these cities, she will know how to keep you safe. I am not familiar with Bombay but the metro lines in Delhi had compartments reserved for women.
(oops didnt mean to assume, did not notice that you are a trans person. sorry about that. the caution does apply still, and women there know best how to stay safe when in public)

Water quality isn't great, all households generally have/require some sort of filtration system. Bottled water is safe, but it is best if you unseal it yourself as other posters have mentioned. Street food may look tasty and enticing but is not always safe for visitors/tourists, look for spots that have the same food available but take hygiene seriously.
