I suppose you could argue that the US is also helping Reza Pahlavi pushing the idea that Iran has the choice between Islamic fundies or rich right wing types, but the current rebellion isn't because of him or the US

For a less international example I am fairly sure you'd find that everyone you're arguing with would strongly disagree with The Guardian's largely positive coverage of the OSA.

You're on the verge of sealioning here IMO.
