Linux Audio Development
We aim to make #linux more attractive as a platform for computer-based #musicproduction by encouraging audio vendors to make their software and plugins available for #linuxaudio.
In my ongoing quest for #linuxaudio support, Swiss vendor apulSoft informed me that their innovative harmonics toolkit #plugin, Opalize, is now available as a native #linux version. See: https://apulsoft.ch/opalize/. 😎
Another vendor that just confirmed Linux support in the making—and has me super excited—is Mellowmuse: https://mellowmuse.com/ 🥳

I am coming across more and more #ai generated or #vibecoded #linuxaudio software, and wanted to ask you what you think about this development. Should there be a clear way to distinguish between software created by humans and software created using AI? However, it's not always easy to tell whether
I miss you, dear #linuxaudio community. 🥹 And, to be honest, I miss myself too. I disappeared in work. 🫣
But, I’m continuing to push for Linux Audio progress with #interview (s) and #linux vendor support requests whenever possible, and it is in that spirit that I’m extra excited to present to you today an interview with @ercanbrack@mastodon.online aka Audiojunkie! 😎
He goes way back and has an incredible amount of insights to share. 🤓 #nerdalert

Things are slowly picking up speed again in terms of my #linuxaudio activities.
Today, I am excited to present another #developer #interview with the #opensource heroes behind Punk Labs—Oren (aka PolyVector) and Tara (aka Skunkie)! 💥

I recently had the pleasure of interviewing #developer, #engineer and #producer Dan Korneff from Korneff Audio, creator of legendary plugins like Chocolate Milk, and Pawn Shop Comp.
We discussed audio #plugin design, #analog inspiration, and using #linux for #proaudio workloads. 😎
Make sure to check it out here:

Just so you know, I constantly update the list of #linuxaudio #plugin vendors on the website at https://linuxaudio.dev/linux-audio-developers.
Latest additions:
1. PAA Audio: https://paa-audio.de/
2. Sync Audio: https://syncaudio.io/
3. UB-DSP: https://ubdsp.com/
4. Voidstar Audio: https://voidstaraudio.com/
5. WET VST: https://wetvst.com/
I, btw, also still regularly reach out to vendors to ask for #linuxaudio support and keep track of their responses here: https://linuxaudio.dev/linux-support-request-tracking
Please check if your favorite vendors are listed—and let me know if not. ☺️
Could any of you help the #developer of the Vectra #plugin (see https://audionerdz.net/product/vectra-deluxe-edition-early-access-power-synth/) set up a #linux #testenvironment and #buildsystem?
The developer, Samuel from Audionerdz, is interested in adding Linux support but needs help! 🙂
Thank you in advance!
On another note, I'm planning to reach out to a few "in consideration" #vendor (s) to see whether they might be interested in porting their products to #linux via #crowdfunding. I'll keep you posted. 😎
Dear #linuxaudio enthusiasts and such who'd like to eventually become #linuxmusician (s). 🤗
I've just published a new #developer #interview.
This time, I spoke with Steffen Langenfeld about his #linux port of the MT-PowerDrumKit #plugin—a story I'd love to see repeated by other developer/vendor collaborations. 🥰
I update the Linux Support Request Tracking regularly, see https://linuxaudio.dev/linux-support-request-tracking.
Read more about @alisynthesis@io.waxandleather.com experience as a #linuxaudio #artist in their Linux Audio Development #interview at https://linuxaudio.dev/alisonwilder. 🙂
Carlo (nwsm) shared his #kvraudio post at https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=627315 with me. In turn I just updated the lists at https://linuxaudio.dev/linux-support-request-tracking and https://linuxaudio.dev/linux-audio-developers. 🤓
When it comes to #linuxaudio, I'd say, things are developing in the right direction. 😎 I mean, just have a look at the list of vendors currently in progress to support #linux and those who plan to do so soon.
