Lots of cone flowers in my small but mighty container garden, plus not-yet-blossoming swamp milkweed. Best thing about it is they come back every year and need very little maintenance aside from watering and occasional deadheading. #bloomscrolling #pollinators #gardening

Inventor of the original blizzard cape. Mostly dog content, occasional PM/tech things, art things, nature things, and Boston-ish things.
Saw this little guy today (okay, not so little) and took a bit to realize it had a huge tackle in its beak! I got closer to see if it was hooked / tangled or just very partial to this fish-shaped piece of trash. It didn’t seem to be in distress and flew off before I could verify.
Not sure if there’s a rule about leaving cut lines in the water, but there ought to be! I’m tired of seeing dead seagulls in the neighborhood 😔 #boston #birds #litter
Today is a true spring day, so we went on a hike in the Middlesex Fells. Saw an amusing mushroom, a lady’s slipper (!), and some very happy dogs (not pictured)
Usually I just donate things I no longer need but occasionally I prefer to sell first. In the past I could put something on Craigslist and it would be gone in a day. This no longer seems true, even after 2+ price drops.
What are people using these days to sell stuff locally? I don't/won't use Meta stuff, so Facebook Marketplace is a no-go. Are there any other recs? #Boston #secondhand #resell
After a few iterations I organically arrived at this format:
- 6 items max
- 2 focused on creative projects
- 2 on chores or home improvement
- 2 on relaxation or "fun" things
- Must be reasonably achievable that day
- Written the night before, on a piece of paper (not an app, less distracting)
- Every day is a new list (no automatic rolling over of things)
