- formula E is great actually
- removing the catalytic converter from a car with intention to drive it like that, for any reason, no matter the context, is a downright evil thing to do with zero justification, and the people who do it are colossal idiots at best
- performance per watt is far more important and valuable than raw performance in computers, and the goal of everybody both inside and outside of the industry, both in hardware and software terms, should make minimizing their power draw their top priority, and every single time power draw is increased in the name of performance above all is an abject failure on all those involved
- land of the lustrous was really, really boring and dry, and I get the impression that a lot of the deeper meanings and whatnot people assign to the work are projections that are only barely present in the text if at all
- similar situation for girls' last tour, it feels empty for the sake of emptiness with very little substance actually contained within and presented by the work itself
- goodbye eri wasn't good actually (admittedly it's been long enough that I've forgotten precisely why I think this, but my reaction was very consistent so I'm sure I'll feel the same if/when I reread it)
- bokurano being as well-liked as it is says to me that people just really enjoy seeing children get abused and hurt, because there was nothing of meaningful substance to be found beneath the shallow surface layer of extreme melodramatic misery
- esports touching any genre other than fighting games is one of the worst things to happen to games
there are others, but these are just the ones where I've noticed less than one third of the responses I get are positive. a couple of these have netted me a 0% approval rate
every time someone refers to a human character with animal ears, with or without matching tail, as a "neko", a stray cat cries. ESPECIALLY if said character's ears are anything other than cat ears
you want kemonomimi (animal ears) or even just mimi (ears), not neko (cat), weebs should know this

I think it would be very nice, therapeutic, and rewarding to restomod a basket case of a car on my own. just leave me be for a couple decades in a house with a big garage, give me a guaranteed basic income to live on, and let me play with metal tools for a while until the rustbucket is pretty again

if we all settle there in vans or trailer homes or what have you, then we'd all be comfortable in our own little spaces already anyway, so we could slowly build other stuff around the place. set up a solar farm, a vegetable farm, a little community center, a radio telescope, that kind of thing

watch a single video with kasane teto in it and suddenly 40% of all recommendations for the next 31 years are teto (and sometimes gumi for some reason)
I slept the day away and it seems nothing at all has happened. hours have passed but nothing occurred within them
this does not help my inability to perceive time consistently
out of morbid curiosity, I have watched some forza horizon 6 reviews
they all seem to be one of three things:
- pure glazing
- "yeah it's good, however..."
- spends 80% of the review talking about the things they wish were in the game instead of about the game itself
it's certainly horizon again

I have 680 mods installed for rimworld. it takes around two and a half minutes for the game to load on my desktop
I put it on the thinkpad. the game ran fine vanilla, so I had to try the mods
11 minutes first boot. BUT. only 6 minutes every time from then on, and the game still runs perfectly fine. on battery too, it would probably load faster when plugged in
if that sounds like a long loading time, it's actually about the same amount of time it took the game to load on my desktop before the 1.6 update

I truly, truly did not want to make this post, in fact I did so in the past and retired it, because I truly do not like asking for money. Not really out of my own ego but because I would rather work for it. Sadly, commission money just wasn't enough and it was a lot of work for me to keep up with all the stuff.
What I need help with is... to get a new laptop. My main computer had technical difficulties so extreme that it has been made unusable, I'm currently falling-back to my old laptop which is okay enough for doing basic tasks but it's a huge impedance against me getting stuff done proper with all the stuff we're developing for the future of TSN and my own personal projects, and I need around 300 dollars to get myself a second hand laptop that will be better or at least on-par with my old main device.
Again, I'm not the kind to be comfortable to ask for money and to take from this wonderful and sacred pool of human generosity and love, so I really want to give you something awesome in return, and it's something we've been working on for a while for the future of TSN, and I really hope y'all love it once it's finished.

it's still so sad to me that ipfs got swallowed by the "web3" crowd, so many people now believe ipfs is itself some kind of crypto/blockchain thing and therefore must never be used
it's not that. it's never been that. it's literally just a p2p file storage network, like bittorrent but different

I have a profound sensation that life just kinda stopped happening a couple of months ago. days pass, but nothing happens, it's all frozen

the bigger battery honestly just makes it heavier (which I like) since I use it wired anyway. I also don't have even the slightest hint of stick drift. and I have micro usb cables, I don't care about using different types of cable

nothing has been happening around me, not just the same things. I was getting some dental care pretty consistently, then all of a sudden it completely stopped, haven't heard anything. I was in contact with the apartment manager over an issue that was getting looked at, now nothing, radio silence. there were things happening, and now there aren't
my grasp on the passage of time and reality itself is very, very weak in the best of times, but this has me wondering if I've completely lost it currently

I complained about this exactly a year ago today because that's when it first happened. they gave me the choice to "build history" instead of giving my ID, so I took that
they never restored the features, and my one year anniversary present is just getting the same email a second time

the longer I live, seeing people doing art on the internet, and how the attitude towards certain art rapidly changes between audiences platforms and legislators alike, the more confident I get in my conclusion that literally all art, regardless of anything, deserves to exist just as much as the rest

I have a digital notepad that would be useful here too but I don't use that as I should either
there are certain diets that commonly cause nausea, headaches, digestive issues, etc if one switches to them immediately
this has never happened to me. I've been deliberately reckless just to see, and I'm always fine
