We took a pilgrimage to see Spiral Jetty by Robert Smithson, 1970, for our 30th wedding anniversary. It was a fantastic trip.
We did walk out to the new / actual shoreline which was about a kilometer away. The water is pink because of the presence of algae.
So much to say about this. I'm an art historian. My husband is a railway enthusiast. In this specific case, the two are intertwined.
