Much of the right's reaction to everybody else's reaction to Charlie Kirk's death was manufactured faux-outrage, but there was a kernel of truth to it:
The right saw just how unpopular they really are with most people. They've been good at grabbing the levers of power, but they haven't won hearts and minds. When people weren't sad about Kirk's death, they got a preview of what people think about them, too.
They hate others freely but aren't prepared for it being turned back around on them.
Pretty much sums up my feelings on #ai as of late. https://blog.foxtrotluna.social/theyre-putting-blue-food-coloring-in-everything/

@GreatBigTable@mastodon.social @broadwaybabyto@zeroes.ca Linda Torado. She also has a traumatic brain injury which has apparently led to early dementia. She was reported to be placed in hospice last year.

@mattdm Little typo in the Workstation article "You can check out our Fedor Linux 42 Change Set page for even more details about all the features"...

@GreatBigTable@mastodon.social @broadwaybabyto@zeroes.ca It is. I exchanged tweets with her a few times on Twitter long ago - she struck me as an independent-minded, fair, and unique voice. I really valued her perspective.
No one should be blinded, or worse, simply for turning up at a protest. It's made all the worse by the fact that nothing has changed as a result. No accountability, and little more than a few cursory mentions by the press--and but for the grace of God, it could be any mainstream reporter.

@dymaxion ugh. I wrote about this many years ago (2007). It’s disappointing as hell that it’s still in use. https://www.linux.com/news/its-time-retire-mom-test/

@extraface@xoxo.zone Hopefully your current self will be kind, because the world has thrown a lot at us all that our past selves didn't see coming.
(My past self could've made better decisions. That guy definitely could've done better. And could've cut down on the snacks, too...)
